Description: CD11b, the integrin αM subunit, combines with CD18, the integrin β2 subunit, to form the integrin Mac-1, also known as complement receptor 3 (CR3), which mediates adhesion to C3bi and ICAM-1/CD54. Mac-1 is expressed at varying levels on granulocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, NK cells, and B-1 cells in the peritoneal and pleural cavities. Description: Murine CD38, a type II transmembrane glycoprotein, is a bifunctional ectoenzyme capable of catabolizing nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) to cyclic ADP-ribose (cADPR), and then hydrolyzing cADPR to adenosine diphosphoribose (ADPR). It is expressed at high levels on the surface of peripheral B-lineage cells and at low density on germinal center B cells from unimmunized mice. Description: CD69, also known as very early activation (VEA) antigen, is a disulfide-linked transmembrane homodimer whose differentially glycosylated subunits range from 35-39 kDa. It is a C-type lectin most closely related to the NKR-P1 and Ly-49 NK cell-activation molecules. CD69 is widely expressed on hematopoietic cells, including lymphocytes, neutrophils and eosinophils. Although not detectable on resting lymphocytes, its expression is rapidly upregulated upon activation of T, B and NK cells, and neutrophils.
