STK31 is a serine/threonine protein kinase that contains a tudor domain found in RNA-interacting proteins, and a coiled-coil domain. Tudor domains are found in many eukaryotic organisms and have been implicated in protein-protein interactions in which methylated protein substrates bind to these domains. The STK31 gene is conserved across many species and was originally identified as a gene expressed in mouse spermatogonia but not in somatic tissues (1). STK31 has been shown to be specifically expressed in the human testis. STK31 Protein is ideal for investigators involved in Signaling Proteins, Cellular Proteins, Cardiovascular Disease, ERK/MAPK Pathway, Neurobiology, PKA/PKC Pathway, and Ser/Thr Kinases research.
STK31 Protein is stored in 50mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 50mM NaCl, 10mM glutathione, 0.1mM EDTA, 0.25mM DTT, 0.1mM PMSF, 25% glycerol. STK31 Protein is suitable for use in Western Blot. Expect a band approximately ~86kDa on specific lysates or tissues. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user.
