Pathogen Detection with the BAX® System X5

The BAX^® System X5 PCR Assay for genus Listeria detects the target organism from standard enrichments of a variety of food and environmental samples. The method includes automated sample preparation in the DuPont™ thermal block, followed by automated amplification and detection in the BAX^® System X5 instrument.

Each BAX System X5 PCR assay includes all the reagents you need to process 64 enriched samples – enough for two full process runs in the BAX^® System X5 instrument. BAX System X5 PCR tablets contain a built-in control and are pre-packaged in PCR tubes to eliminate the need for reagent preparation.

The BAX System is an automated detection system that uses the power of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to detect harmful bacteria and other microbes in food ingredients, finished products and environmental surfaces.
