Description: Apoptosis is related to many diseases and induced by a family of cell death receptors and their ligands. Cell death signals are transduced by death domain containing adapter molecules and members of the caspase family of proteases. These death signals finally cause the degradation of chromosomal DNA by activated DNase. A mouse DNase that causes DNA fragmentation was identified recently and designated CAD (for caspase activated deoxyribonuclease). The human homologue of mouse CAD was more recently identified by three groups independently and termed CPAN, DFF40, and human CAD, respectively. DFF45/ICAD is the inhibitory protein of DFF40/CAD and forms complex with DFF40/CAD. Upon cleavage of DFF45/ICAD by activated caspase, DFF40/CAD is released and activated and eventually causes the degradation of DNA in the nuclei. Activation of DFF40/CAD, which causes DNA degradation, is the hallmark of apoptotic cell death.

Description: The UDP-N-acetylglucosamine-dolichyl-phosphate N-acetyl-glucosaminephosphotransferase (DPAGT1) is an enzyme that catalyzes the first step in the dolichol-linked oligosaccharide pathway for glycoprotein biosynthesis. Mutations in this integral endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membrane protein enzyme belongs to the glycosyltransferase family 4 results in the congenital disorder of glycosylation type Ij with symptoms such as severe hypotonia, medically intractable seizures, mental retardation, microcephaly, and exotropia. Recent experiments have shown that DPAGT1 is a target of the Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway, with Wnt3a inducing higher DPAGT1 mRNA expression.

Description: Fibroblast growth factor 4 (FGF4), also known as Heparin Secretary Transforming (HSTF1). HST1, for which the designation HSTF1 was proposed for human gene nomenclature, is a heparin-binding growth factor with significant homology to human fibroblast growth factors and the mouse Int-2 protein. By in situ hybridization, Adelaide et al. (1988) mapped the HST gene to chromosome 11q13. The HST1 protein is a heparin-binding growth factor with significant homology with human fibroblast growth factors and the mouse Int-2 protein. This antibody is suitable for researchers interested in cell signaling and cancer research.

Description: GATA3 is a zinc finger transcription factor that was first recognized as a possible determinant of T cell development. Later studies demonstrated that it is expressed in trophoblast giant cells and regulates trophoblast-specific genes during development. Specifically, GATA3 is selectively expressed in the trophectoderm of the peri-implantation embryo and regulates CDX2, which is required for the transcriptional repression of the POU5F1/Oct4 and NANOG genes and is thus essential for the segregation of the inner cell mass and trophectoderm at the blastocyst stage. Decreased or null-expression expression of GATA3 has also been suggested to play a major role in the development and progression of luminal breast cancer.

Description: The SK3 antibody reacts with human CD4, a 59 kDa protein which acts as a co-receptor for the T cell receptor (TCR) in its interaction with MHC Class II molecules on antigen-presenting cells. The extracellular domain of CD4 binds to the beta-2 domain of MHC Class II, while its cytoplasmic tail provides a binding site for the tyrosine kinase lck, facilitating the signaling cascade that initiates T cell activation. CD4, and co-receptors CCR5 and CXCR4, may also be utilized by HIV-1 to enter T cells. Human CD4 is typically expressed on thymocytes, some mature T cell populations such as Th17 and T regulatory (Treg) cells, as well as on dendritic cells. The SK3 antibody is widely used as a phenotypic marker for human CD4 expression, and has been reported to be cross-reactive with Rhesus and Cynomolgus CD4. This antibody does not block binding of alternative clone RPA-T4, suggesting that they recognize different epitopes.

Description: Anti-Monkey IgG (gamma chain) DyLight™488 conjugated antibody generated in goat detects specifically monkey IgG (gamma chain). Secreted as part of the adaptive immune response by plasma B cells, immunoglobulin G constitutes 75% of serum immunoglobulins. IgG binds to viruses, bacteria, as well as fungi and facilitates their destruction or neutralization via agglutination (and thereby immobilizing them), activation of the compliment cascade, and opsinization for phagocytosis. The whole IgG molecule possesses both the F(c) region, recognized by high-affinity Fc receptor proteins, as well as the F(ab) region possessing the epitope-recognition site. This DyLight™488 conjugated anti-Monkey IgG gamma chain secondary antibody is ideal for investigators who routinely perform ELISA, Sandwich ELISA, titration assays, western-blot, immunoprecipitation and more general immunoassays. When choosing a secondary antibody product, consideration must be given to species and immunoglobulin specificity, conjugate type, fragment and chain specificity, level of cross-reactivity, and host-species source and fragment.

Description: ERK2 antibodies detect the ERK2 isoform. Mitogen activiated protein kinase 1, also known as MAPK1, ERK, or ERK2, is an integral component of the MAP kinase cascade that regulates cell growth and differentiation. ERK1 and ERK2 are activated by MEK1 and MEK2 in the B-raf signaling pathway resulting in its translocation to the nucleus where it phosphorylates nuclear targets. Human ERK1 and ERK2 are 84% identical in sequence and share common functionality in cells. Anti-ERK2 antibody is ideal for investigators involved in Neuroscience, Cell Signaling and Cancer Research.

Description: BCL3 belongs to the ANKRD family. The protein contains seven ankyrin repeats, which are closely related to those found in I kappa B proteins. BCL3 functions as a transcriptional co-activator, regulator of transcriptional activation, promotor of transcription, and inhibitor of nuclear translocation of NF-kappa B. It is a proto-oncogene identified by its translocation into the immunoglobulin alpha-locus in some cases of B-cell leukemia. BCL3 contributes to the regulation of cell proliferation. Therefore, BCL3 may be associated with B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia, lymphoma, or other hematologic diseases. Anti-BCL3 Antibody is useful for researchers interested in Cancer Research, NF-Kappa B Pathway, and TNF Signaling Pathway.
