This apparatus is similar to the congealing temperature apparatus described in U.S

Pharmacopeia, 1995, page 1780, except this apparatus is supplied with Ace-Threds in place of rubber stoppers, where practical. The #50 Ace-Thred at center holds a test tube with a #25 Ace-Thred bushing. The open-top test tube utilizes a rubber stopper to secure a thermometer and wire stirrer. One side port has a #7 Ace-Thred for a thermometer, while the other side port features a 22mm I.D. opening for access to the 125mm O.D. x 150mm high cylinder. Applicable to substances that melt between -20° and 150°C.

Ordering information: Complete item includes the main chamber, test tube, #7 Ace-Thred nylon bushing with o-ring (89051-122), #25 Ace-Thred nylon bushing with o-ring (89059-226), nylon connector, and wire stirrer. Each item is also available separately.
