Ovens Standard Ovens
Forced convection ovens are ideal for sterilization, drying processes, heat treatments, thermal storage, and testing

The inner chamber is composed of Type 304 stainless steel with rounded edges and internally welded seams for easy cleaning. The completely tempered interior prevents condensation and ensures moisture deposits will not impair drying results.

The 50 mm (2") diameter exhaust duct and adjustable ventilation slide allow for quick vapor elimination preventing condensation in the inner chamber. A powerful fan is provided for air circulation. In FED models a powerful yet quiet, digitally adjustable air turbine provides increased air circulation.

High-quality insulation reduces heat dissipation, contributing to an active reduction in ambient temperature; removing the need for additional air conditioning in the lab. The low external housing temperature (50°C maximum) provides protection from burns. The integral thermostat is rated Class 2, according to DIN 12880, Part 1.

FD models feature a microprocessor PID controller with degree-accurate temperature adjustment, digital timer, one ramp function, and an LED display for time and temperature. All FED models include an RS-422 interface port.

These ovens maintain homogeneous temperature distribution and symmetrical airflow throughout the entire inner chamber for precise heating results. The short recovery time after door opening decreases temperature fluctuation. The minimal heat-up time and high air transfer rate ensure fast, intensive drying performance; especially on materials with high moisture content

Certifications: The 115 and 208V models are UL listed. The 230V models are CE marked.

Ordering information: The 240L, 400L, and 720L ovens feature double doors to conserve lab bench space. The 720L ovens feature four lockable casters. The 20L ovens include one chrome-plated shelf; all other ovens include two chrome-plated shelves. FED series include an RS-422 interface port. Connecting the oven to a printer or PC through this port requires an interface converter; contact your Avantor representative for more information.
