SARSTEDT offers a wide range of flasks, dishes and plates made of high-quality, transparent polystyrene. Many formats are available with all three growth surfaces. Every container can be easily identified by SARSTEDT’s color-guided system, the batch number and the expiration date even after it has been removed from the packaging.

  • Growth area: 22.1 cm²
  • Material: PS
  • Ø×height: 60×15 mm
  • Grid: without
  • The SUREGrip is a raised, notched ring around the base that allows for secure and convenient handling of the two parts of the dish

  • Available with three different growth surfaces, easy to identify thanks to clear color markings
  • Packed in a resealable minigrip bag, sealed with a tamper-evident closure before opening for the first time

Adherent cells have a wide variety of demands on their growth surface. While most adherent cell lines can be cultivated on the red standard surface, primary cells, sensitive cell culture lines and cells that are cultivated under serum-reduced or serum-free conditions are particularly challenging and need more support to grow successfully on the surface. In these cases, the growth surface often has to be coated with proteins (e.g. polylysine). The properties of the SARSTEDT Cell+ surface (yellow) can eliminate the need for self-coated culture vessels in many cases, making cultivation easier and yielding more reproducible results. A special treatment of the plastic surface introduces additional polar groups into the hydrophilic surface, so that challenging adherent cells are able to adhere and grow without an additional protein coating.

The green surface is ideal for cultivating suspension cells. This hydrophobic surface minimizes cell losses during subcultivation caused by the unwanted microadhesion of cells.
