HemaPrime™ Human Stem Cells Hematopoietic Stem Cells and Mesenchymal Stem Cells, Cryopreserved
Cells
This human stem cell portfolio includes hematopoietic CD34+ stem cell products as well as pluripotent stem cells.

Hematopoietic CD34+ stem cells are available from three sources: mobilized peripheral blood, bone marrow, or cord blood. Mobilized CD34+ stem cells are collected after G-CSF, Plerixafor or G-CSF/Plerixafor is administered to healthy consented donors. Bone marrow aspirate is drawn from the posterior iliac crest from healthy donors and CD34+ stem/progenitor cells and mesenchymal stem cells are then isolated. Cord blood CD34+ stem cells are isolated from human cord blood that is collected at the time of delivery from healthy pregnant women.

Partnering with Pluristyx to offer a portfolio of human-derived pluripotent stem cells for research use only, which includes induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and embryonic stem cells (ES cells). These pluripotent stem cells have an unlimited capacity for self-renewal and the potential to differentiate into every cell type in the body. This portfolio provides access to wild-type iPSCs, a genetically modified iPSC line containing FailSafe® technology with an HSV-TK suicide gene knock-in system, normal embryonic cells, and diseased embryonic stem cell lines.

Hematopoietic Stem and Progenitor Cells: Hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs) are multipotent and can give rise to all cell types in blood. Hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells are provided from three distinct sources: bone marrow, umbilical cord blood, and mobilized leukopaks. CD34+ and CD133+ stem cells are isolated via standardized protocols and automated immunomagnetic cell separation techniques (positive selection) and are immediately cryopreserved on-site following collection. CD34+ hematopoietic stem cells can be used for development of cell-based therapies, regenerative medicine studies, or with humanized mouse models for oncology research. CD34+ stem cells are also commonly used clinically as they have been shown to provide long-term, durable, and donor-derived host lymphohematopoietic reconstitution.

Mesenchymal Stem Cells: Mesenchymal stem cells are cultured from freshly collected adult human bone marrow. Mesenchymal stem cells are multipotent stromal cells that can differentiate into a variety of cell types, including osteoblasts (bone), chondrocytes (cartilage), adipocytes (fat), myocytes (muscle), and neurons (nerve). Because MSCs are undifferentiated cells, they are able to self-renew and have a high proliferative capacity.
