Slant-back design holds glass plates in place during assembly

Built-in aluminum thermoplate distributes heat evenly, preventing gel artifacts. White backing of the thermoplate allows easy viewing of dye migrations. Epoxy coating makes thermoplate electrically inert for increased user safety. Modular platinum electrodes are recessed. The lower buffer tank is removable for easy cleaning and disposal of radioactive material. Upper reservoir has a drainage port for easy drainage of buffer into a sink or separate container. Both chambers feature a hinged, interlocking safety lid that allows easy access to the buffer chamber. Lid maximizes user safety by reducing shock hazards and blocking beta emissions. Combs and spacers are made of Mylar® film and are designed to be durable and resistant to cracking and warping.

Ergonomically designed, easy-turn knobs allow for quick assembly of the gel sandwich while preventing overtightening. Single gel size of 43Lx36Wcm (1615/16x143/16") with a capacity of up to 96 samples minimizes the number of runs. Standard format x-ray film compatibility reduces waste.
