miVac centrifugal evaporators provide a compact, high performing and flexible solution for removing water and organic solvents from a variety of sample formats including tubes, micro tubes, microplates and vials. Ideal for life science laboratories, these centrifugal concentrators rely on the vacuum in the system to cause liquids to boil at a lower than normal temperature enabling concentrating or removal of solvents at very low temperatures.
To prevent evaporating samples from boiling over (bumping) in an uncontrolled manner, simultaneous to the drying process, samples are spun in a centrifuge creating sufficient g-force to keep each sample in its own tube.
The Duo plus package includes all the components including, Duo concentrator, Duo pump (ultimate vacuum of 10 mbar), Connection Kit as well as the MV SpeedTrap condenser. Ideal when working with 75 ml or greater sample volumes or maximizing concentration speed is desired.
The miVac SpeedTrap chills to −50 °C collecting solvents as a liquid in an easy to empty jar. The design and built-in compressor enable a small footprint while delivering big results.
Ordering information: Sample rotor must be ordered separately. A range of solid Duo aluminium rotors are available to accommodate all common tubes, vials centrifuge tubes and micro centrifuge tubes. For the Duo range a two position swing rotor is available.
