CellPro™ LB and Carbenicillin is a specialized culture medium containing carbenicillin, a β-lactam antibiotic used to select for bacterial strains carrying carbenicillin resistance genes. This LB agar variant is co mmonly employed in molecular biology research for the cultivation and maintenance of recombinant bacterial cells harboring carbenicillin resistance plasmids. By incorporating carbenicillin into the LB agar, this medium enables the selective growth of transformed bacterial strains while inhibiting the growth of non-resistant contaminants.
