Transfection Reagents

Reagent is provided as a 2mg/mL suspension in 20mM MES, 150mM NaCl, pH 6.2 buffer

Liposomal formulation optimized for maximal transfection efficiency of Sf9 insect cells. It features extremely low toxicity to the cells and can be used for both transient and stable transfection in both serum-free and serum-containing media. It can also be used for cotransfection of transfer plasmids with linearized virus DNA for the production of recombinant baculoviruses. Insect GeneJuice® is ideal for large-scale protein expression in suspension-culture transfection of Sf9 cells and when using pIEx™ and pBiEx™ vectors that contain the immediate early baculovirus promoter IE1. Just 1mL is sufficient for either 10 transfections in 10mL suspension culture flasks or 100 transfections in 35mm plates.
