Ideal for easy monitoring of rodents’ activity levels

Stainless steel construction with low-friction bushings for long life and quiet, smooth action. A stainless steel lid for secure animal containment is included. Autoclavable.

Especially useful for research involving circadian rhythm studies, neuroscience, and pharmaceutical testing. Activity wheel allows easy, convenient measurement of lab rodents’ physical activity in response to chemical or environmental stimuli. Larger size wheel assembly, for use with size F plastic cage system, accommodates laboratory rats and hamsters. Smaller size wheel assembly, for use with size L plastic cage system, accommodates laboratory mice.

Ordering information: Activity wheel includes wheel, wheel hub and support, sheet lid for secure containment, and wire lid with water bottle support and food hopper. Magnetic switch is sold separately. For plastic cages, see 10712-074 series. Water bottle, stainless steel support rack, and tray (shown in photo) are sold separately. Overall dimensions are for fully assembled cage and wheel.
