The bain non-rebreathing circuits are tube-within-a-tube circuits with the 2 mm (¹⁄₁₆") fresh gas tube inside the 6 mm (¼") waste gas tube.

Rebreathing circuits have standard 22 mm (⅞") female connectors. The Y-piece connector has a 22 mm ⅞") O.D. and 15 mm (¹⁹⁄₃₂") I.D. The funnel-shaped rodent nose cones make an excellent mask without restricting access to the eyes or cranium. They are also suitable for stereotaxic frames when fitted in custom-made Bain-type circuits. Stereotaxic nose cones fit most Kopf and Stoelting stereotaxic frames, allowing the use of inhalation anesthesia for procedures requiring stereotaxic frames.

High-quality masks feature a standard 15 mm (¹⁹⁄₃₂") male connector, clear cone for full visualization and a highly flexible, replaceable rubber diaphragm. Latex rubber diaphragms replace damaged or worn diaphragm on an existing mask.

Breathing bags are made from antistatic, conductive latex. Bags can be attached to both rebreathing and non-rebreathing circuits. Standard bags have a 22 mm (⅞") bushing neck and flat oval shape. Heavy-duty bags feature a 22 mm (⅞") reinforced stretch neck and reinforced shoulder for longer wear.

The bag evacuation valve features a single-hand rotary adjustment to prevent inadvertent opening or closing of the breathing bag. The evacuator end accepts 19 mm (¾") or 22 mm (⅞") scavenging tubing.

The rodent non-rebreathing circuits are smaller than standard Bain circuits with a flared end that acts as an anesthesia nose cone. The Mapleson E non-rebreathing circuit has the 6 mm (¼") fresh gas tube outside the waste gas tube. The complete dual procedure non-rebreathing circuit contains one 2 L (0.53 gal.) induction chamber, one Mapleson E circuit, two activated charcoal filters, two stopcocks, 1.8 m (6') of 22 mm (⅞") evacuation tubing, and one 15 mm (¹⁹⁄₃₂") friction connector for easy connection to an anesthesia machine.
