Jars General Use Jars
Type III (soda-lime) glass jars are for collection of soil, sediment, and slurry matrices.

  • Jars are available with solid-top or open-top caps

Processed (PC) and Quality-Assured® (QA) jars follow EPA cleaning procedures listed in the OSWER Directive 9240.0-05A 'Specifications and Guidance for Contaminant-Free Sample Containers'. QA jars include a Certificate of Analysis in every case.

QA jars also include bar codes with lot number and individual container number for complete traceability. Not Processed (NPC) jars do not receive the specialty cleaning process. All cases are custody-sealed to ensure content integrity.

Solid-top caps feature fluoropolymer resin liner and are for use in semi-volatiles, pesticides, and PCB analyses; and select inorganic compounds.

Open-top caps feature ultrasonically bonded fluoropolymer resin/silicone septum and are for use in head space volatile organic analysis. Amber glass jars are for use in semi-volatiles, pesticides, and PCB analyses; and select inorganic parameters for sediment and slurry matrices.
