HTD 12A reusable 12 well buffer exchange and desalting device. 50 - 150 µl capacity. Sample volume dialysate ration of 1:26. Compatible with a wide range of dialysis membrane pore sizes.
- 1:26 ratio of sample volume to dialysate
- Minimal non-specific binding due to 100% Teflon block construction
- Ready in minutes and achieves equilibrium in 2 to 4 hours on average
- Conserves valuable reagents with working volumes of 30 to 150 µl
- Automatable with standard robotic workstations and 96-well pipettors
- Ready access to both the sample and dialysate sides of the membrane from the top of the device
- Compatible with a wide range of dialysis membrane pore sizes i.e. 1 kDa, 3.5 kDa, 6 to 8 kDa, 10 kDa, 12 to 14 kDa, 25 kDa, and 50 kDa
- Teflon block compatible with all HTD96 universal base
The reusable HTD12a device was developed to automate low volume buffer exchange and desalting applications. The device was designed with a large sample to dialysate ratio to promote rapid desalting or buffer exchange.
Applications:
- All desalting and buffer exchange steps of sample processing applications: dialysis of proteins, oligonucleotides, RNA or DNA samples
- Removal of sample contaminates - salts, solvents, detergents
- Conducting Formation studies - protein-protein, protein-DNA, protein-RNA
