VWR® TEMPase Hot Start DNA Polymerase
Supplier: VWR International
TEMPase Hot Start DNA Polymerase is a chemically modified version of VWR® Taq DNA Polymerase and is activated by 15 minutes of heat treatment.
- Reaction set-up at room temperature
- dUTP incorporation possible
- Increased sensitivity, specificity and product yield
- Detection of low abundance targets
- Processes up to 4 kb
TEMPase Hot Start DNA Polymerase concentration: 5 Units/μl
TEMPase Hot Start DNA Polymerase is suitable for detection of low abundance targets, screening, multiplexing, direct colony PCR and real-time PCR applications
TEMPase Hot Start DNA Polymerase has been designed to diminish the formation of non-specific priming events during reaction set-up and the first ramp of thermal cycling.
Chemical inactivation of TEMPase Hot Start DNA Polymerase has proven highly effective compared to other inactivation methods such as antibody inactivation. The chemically modified enzyme withstands longer periods of time at room temperature without non-specific PCR amplifications. This feature is useful if you need pre-incubation at elevated temperatures, for example in case of UNG treatment at 50 °C prior to PCR.
TEMPase Hot Start DNA polymerase is also available in a glycerol-free format for automation and lyophilization.
Long term storage at -20 °C. Product expiry at -20 °C is stated on the label. Optional: Store at +4 °C for up to 6 months.
TEMPase Hot Start DNA Polymerase is usually supplied in kits with Key Buffer and Combination Buffer. 10X Key Buffer promotes high specificity over a broad range of annealing temperatures and Mg2+ concentrations. The Key Buffer also works well when dealing with difficult templates, e.g. GC-rich DNA sequences. 10X Combination Buffer is a balanced ammonium-potassium PCR buffer. Combination Buffer results in tolerance towards optimization of primer annealing temperatures and Mg2+ concentrations. Additional MgCl₂ is included with each kit to enable optimization.
Caution: For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
