The antibiotics penicillin and streptomycin are used to prevent bacterial contamination of cell cultures due to their effective combined action against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. This solution contains 5,000 units/mL of penicillin and 5,000 µg/mL of streptomycin.

Penicillin-Streptomycin is used to supplement cell culture media to control bacterial contamination. It is effective against most gram positive and gram negative bacteria.

Caution: For laboratory use. Not for injection.
