Blue Phantom® renal biopsy ultrasound training models provides users extremely realistic sonographic imaging characteristics and feels like real human tissue. Blue Phantom®'s patented ultra-durable self-healing tissue provides users with a low cost of ownership. In addition to training users how to utilize ultrasound to image the kidney, users are able to perform two types of procedures on the model core needle biopsy procedures and needle aspiration procedures.

Ultrasound imaging and procedural skills include; using ultrasound system controls, transducer positioning and movement, recognition of kidney anatomy, the appearance of ribs and avoiding them during renal biopsy, using ultrasound to target the appropriate location for renal biopsy, and performing an ultrasound guided renal biopsy procedure. This ultrasound hands-on training model will perform well using any ultrasound imaging system configured with the appropriate renal biopsy transducer.
