Miller Laryngoscope Blades are used for direct, rigid laryngoscopy procedures to view vocal cords, remove foreign objects from the throat, biopsy, or tracheal intubation. The Miller blade is straight and therefore longer than the curved Macintosh blade. It is inserted past the epiglottis, typically causing less trauma during intubation. This fiber-optic blade conforms to the Green System of fiber-optic compatibility which is indicated by a green bar at the posterior end of the blade where the blade attaches to a fiber-optic handle.
