These useful HPLC columns have a silica hydride surface similar to other TYPE-C™ phases but the uniqueness of Diamond Hydride™ is that they have a very small amount of carbon on the surface that adjusts the hydrophobicity to a small but important level. This is an excellent choice for small, polar compounds by LCMS or HPLC.

  • Fast equilibration in HILIC mode
  • Excellent for polar compounds and some non-polar compounds

Popular choice of scientists working in metabolomics or bioanaltytical with LCMS for compounds such as amino acids, organic acids, carbohydrates and very polar small molecules. Precise methods are easily developed even with complex sample matrices inlcuding biological fluids such as plasma, urine, saliva and other bio matrices. This is an excellent choice to replace HILIC methods when precision and speed are desired. Lack of water in these columns gives them the ability to equilibrate after only three column volumes.
