Luxol Fast Blue (LFB) control slides contain a section of positive staining spinal cord.

Staining Results:
Myelin will stain blue.
Nissl substance and nuclei will stain blue.
Other tissue components - dependent on other stains used
These positive control slides are intended to be used to verify histological techniques and reagent reactivity. These slides are to be used for the qualitative purpose of determining positive or negative results, and are not intended to be used for any quantitative purpose.
Periodic Acid Schiff (PAS), cresyl violet, hematoxylin or eosin stains/counterstains can be added to the LFB procedure for additionally enhanced staining.

Reactivity of Histo control slides are guaranteed for one year from the date of receipt and should be revalidated after one year to verify continued reactivity.
Please note the following: In human tissue unless otherwise indicated. Histopathology control slides are not quality controlled for IHC methods, as such, we cannot guarantee antigenicity.
