Alcohol Reagent Set is used for the quantitative determination of ethyl alcohol in serum or whole blood
Our Alcohol Reagent Set comes in two sizes: 150 mL (ten 15mL bottles), and 39 mL (six 6.5 mL bottles).
The Alcohol standard is intended as a means of calibrating various ethanol assay methods. It is recommended that control materials having known component concentrations be assayed to validate the calibration. Controls are an integral part of diagnostic procedures. Daily monitoring of control values establishes intralaboratory parameters for accuracy and precision of the test method.
For in vitro diagnostic use only. Alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) catalyzes the oxidation of ethanol to acetaldehyde with the concomitant reduction of NAD to NADH. The change in absorbance at 340 nm is directly proportional to the alcohol concentration in the sample.
Certifications: CE Compliant
