Obtain strong brown staining that can be used for up to two weeks at 2 to 8°C with this Chromogen and Substrate.

  • Validated in combination with both ultravision LP and ultravision Quanto
  • Provides four major benefits - strong staining, Less mixing and disposal
  • Utilizes novel chemistry to provide greater sensitivity, generating a crisper, darker, insoluble precipitate

Lower risk of mixing errors-supports higher staining consistency 3,3' Diaminobenzidine (DAB) is a widely used chromogen for immunohistochemical staining and immunoblotting. The DAB Quanto is an entirely new formula for a diaminobenzidine-based peroxidase substrate that develops faster on tissues sections reducing incubation times.

The standard working dilution is 30 μl of DAB Quanto Chromogen per 1 ml of DAB Quanto Substrate. The use of liquid components reduces some risks associated with the handling of powders or tablets. The DAB Quanto offers an added advantage, as the working solution is stable for up to two weeks at 2 to 8°C and up to a week at room temperature enabling continued use and minimizing waste disposal.

Supplied in a two-component form consisting of a DAB Quanto Chromogen and DAB Quanto Substrate. Standard working dilution is 30 μl of DAB Quanto Chromogen per 1ml of DAB Quanto Substrate. Use of liquid components reduces some risks associated with the handling of powders or tablets.

Strong staining-ideal to quantifying cells and protein expression Less mixing-reducing personnel time and stress Less disposal-cuts down waste.

Ordering information: Staining Protocol:
1. Combine 30 μl (1 drop) of DAB Quanto Chromogen with each 1 ml of DAB Quanto Substrate.
2. Apply mixture to tissue section.
3. Incubate tissue section for 5 minutes.
4. Rinse tissue, counterstain, dehydrate, clear in xylene or xylene substitute and coverslip.

Caution: DAB Quanto Chromogen contains Diaminobenzidine (DAB) in buffer. DAB is a suspected carcinogen. Do not pipet by mouth. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Reagent is acidic and can cause burns if skin contact occurs. Handle with care and dispose of according to regulations. DAB Quanto Substrate contains Hydrogen Peroxide in buffer. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
