Glass Vials, C&G Containers
Vials
These glass vials from C&G Containers are designed primarily for the collection and testing of solid samples for Volatile Organic Analysis and Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH), and for the collection and testing of aqueous samples for Total Organic Carbon (TOC).

  • All glass vials are borosilicate Type 1 glass and use a 24-414 closure

Pre-cleaned and Certified products contain a Certificate of Analysis and Cleaning Protocol Form in the product case. Wash protocols for these vials include; A1 (Nitric acid wash) certified, B1 process certified, L3 (no wash, vial with cap attached) not certified, and D1 protocol, a depyrognation-like process for low level Total Organic Carbon (TOC), certified. Some vials are tare weighed. Some vials have dust covers.

A lot certificate of analysis is generated with the analytical results obtained, including the concentration reporting limits and units of measurement, for Pre-cleaned and Certified products. This certificate of analysis is included in each product case.

Caps can be either one-piece Open Top polypropylene with PTFE septa ultrasonically bonded (not glued), two-piece Open Top polypropylene with pressure fitted PTFE septa, solid top polypropylene cap with PTFE septa, or solid top polypropylene cap with PTFE liner. The PTFE septa is a 3.1 mm fluoropolymer resin/silicone septa laminate (overall thickness 0.125", ±0.006", silicone thickness 0.115", PTFE 0.010"). There is also a thin bonded PTFE Septa cap, overall thickness 0.060 ±0.005" (silicone: 0.056", PTFE: 0.004"). The PTFE liner is a 0.10" thick fluoropolymer disc.

Secondary uses include containment of extracts. Please refer to the applicable Certificate of Analysis for certified analytes and corresponding reporting limits.
