Standards are available for size exclusion (gel filtration), anion and cation ion exchange, and organic acid and carbohydrate chromatography.

The gel filtration chromatography standard (MW 1,350–670,000, pI 4.5–6.9) is for use under nondenaturing conditions, and is appropriate for gels with exclusion limits approximately 60,000 to 5,000,000 Da. Total protein per vial is 1.8 mg. The mixture includes vitamin B12 and myoglobin, which are visible in glass or clear plastic columns, and eluate, and therefore can be used to ensure that the column is properly packed and the sample is eluting evenly.
