The Platelet Agitator is a Class I Medical Device. FDA Clearance not required. Unit is FDA listed. No compressor. Alarm for unit stoppage and password protection only when integrated into the Boekel Scientific Platelet Incubator.
The Platelet Incubator utilizes an advanced Thermoelectric Module for service free heating/cooling - no refrigerant required and no need for a condensate drip tray. A large color, user intuitive, touch screen provides for easy viewing across the lab. The Platelet Incubator features 6 audible and visual alarms and comes factory set at 22°C with the high temperature alarm factory set at 23.5°C and the low temperature alarm factory set at 20.5°C. These alarms can also be changed in our Set-Up Menu and are fully automated. Also included with this unit is a battery back-up to support data logging in the event of a power failure. Other design features include a patent pending Inventory Management System to assist in the preventage of platelet spoilage, an On-Board Thermal Printer for keeping records of temperature data as well as a USB Port for downloading temperature records and event logs.
The Platelet Incubator is a Class II device but is 510(k) exempt. This product is FDA listed and is built and tested to FDA and AABB Guidelines. It carries the appropriate Regulatory Approvals for medical devices and is CE Marked for EMC testing only. Not for export. No compressor; utilizes thermoelectric device using the Peltier Effect. 6 Built In Alarms (High Temp, Low Temp, Door, Agitator Fault, Service, and Printer). Password protection feature.

Ordering information: Units are sold separately. The Platelet Agitator is supplied with 6 or 8 shelves, a power line cord and operating instructions. The Platelet Incubator is supplied with a 2.0 meter power cord, operating instructions, 2 rolls of thermal printer (1 installed and 1 extra), a communications cord for a connection to the Platelet Agitator and a 0.5 meter power cord for connection to a Platelet Agitator.
