Water nuclease-, protease-free, low endotoxin, deionized, sterile, DEPC treated
Supplier: QUALITY BIOLOGICAL, INC.
Synonyms:
Dihydrogen oxide
DEPC Treated Water is Ultra Pure and prepared by reverse osmosis, passed through fine carbon, de-ionized through two resin beds and serially filtered 1 µm positively charged membranes. The water is subsequently treated with 0.1% (v/v) DEPC (Diethylpyrocarbonate) and incubated and heated overnight at 37°C. Finally, DEPC Treated Water is filtered through a 0.1 µm filter.
- DNase, RNase and Protease tested
DEPC Treated Water can be used to reconstitute nucleic acids and/or proteins. In addition, it can be used as a diluent or solvent for any molecular biology grade reagent. DEPC Treated Water may be usefully employed in RNA Applications (e.g., Preparations of an RNA probe, DNA Applications (e.g., Subcloning in pUC plasmids), and Protein Applications (e.g., Western Blotting).
