Enz-Free Solution is a proprietary, non-enzymatic solution specially formulated for the non-destructive detachment of adherent cells from culture vessel surfaces. Enz-Free is a gentle dissociation of mammalian cells for studies requiring intact cell surface proteins such as ligand binding, flow cytometry, and immunohistochemistry.

Enz-Free works well with lightly adherent cell lines such as HeLa and NIH 3T3, but is not recommended for routine passage of strongly adherent cells. Enz-Free is a membrane-filtered, isotonic, and enzyme-free solution of salts, chelating agents, and cell-conditioning agents in Dulbecco’s Phosphate Buffered Saline (DPBS) without calcium and magnesium.
Enz-Free is useful for serum-containing cell culture systems, serum-free cell culture systems, and protein-free cell culture systems.
