The centrifuge fits in to space, with its compact footprint, and to applications, accomodating multi-laboratory settings.

The Megafuge™ 8 centrifuge stands out with innovative new technologies

The Megafuge™ 8 fits in to clinical applications, including clinical chemistry, clinical microbiology, hematology, immunology, and clinical studies. It runs up to 24 x 5/7mL blood or urine tubes at a time in swinging bucket configuration. The unit fits in to research applications as well, including cellular biology, microbiology, genomics/molecular biology, proteomics, biochemistry, and pharmaceutical studies. It runs up 8 x 50 mL swinging bucket rotor capacity, 4 microplates, or 30 filtration columns.

Additional features on this centrifuge include a quiet performance (<61 dBA ventilated and <52 dBA refrigerated), one-touch operation with pre-saved protocols and password protection, and a highly visible backlit display. All units are glove- and detergent-friendly.

Auto-Lock™ rotor exchange enables secure, push-button application versatility and cleaning convenience. ClickSeal™ biocontainment lids provide one-handed, certified sample protection. The unit offers maximized capacity, with the ability to process 24x5/7mL blood tubes, 8x50mL conical tubes, microplates and microtubes, all in one versatile unit. The Megafuge™ 8 R has the fixed angle flexibility to spin 50mL conical tubes at over 12,000g, or a wide range of microtubes at speeds up to 30,279g.

Certifications: UL listed. CE marked. CSA approved. Certified Biosafety, IVD compliant regarding directive 98/79/EC, if used together with the hematocrit rotor and its accessories.
